At PAT Testing Expert, we know a thing or two about PAT Testing, having been involved in the business for over 30 years - and our trainer, Tim James, has been teaching people to carry out PAT Testing since 1993.

All courses are not the same! This one day practial training course has been designed from the ground-up to give you all the necessary information that you need to be able to PAT Test your own equipment, or to offer a PAT Testing service to your customers. You'll be learning from Tim James, regarded as the UK's leading expert in the field. As well as working in the industry for 30 years, Tim was also on the IET committee that updated the latest Code of Practice - so you'll be learning from someone who wrote the text book, not just read it!

Hands On, Practical Training

Our PAT Testing training course is a mix of practical and theory, with plenty of hands-on experience, and we provide all of the materials and equipment for the course. If you already have a PAT testing machine you are welcome to bring it with you, or we can give you information on the best machines to buy. People regularly tell us that our course is the best they have attended. We've trained people from the BBC, Cisco, Jet2, Ikea, Shell, as well as lots of people from schools, universities, councils, hospitals and many small and large businesses.

We will provide you with all of the information you need to get started, including information on the best equipment to use and loads of valuable hints and tips to save you time. We usually come to Norwich about 4 times a year. If you have more than 5 people to train, you may find it cheaper to organise an in-house course (at your premises) or we can arrange a special date for you at this hotel, or another nearby. The Mecure hotel can be accessed easily by Car and Public Transport - Free car Parking is available on site. The coffee and tea will be free flowing through the day and we also provide lunch in the hotel restaurant.

All of our courses are 'fully inclusive' which means we provide all the course materials you need, including a PAT Testing manual, information about record keeping forms and certificates, and we also provide lunch and refreshments during the day. All this is included in the course fee!

You are welcome to bring your own PAT Tester with you on the day, or you can use ours! We always have a selection of industry standard PAT Testers for you to use on the day, and we can give you unbiased advice on which are the best machines to purchase.
