This one day course, held in the wonderful Marriott Hotel in Leicester, will teach you everything that you need to know to be able to carry out PAT Testing in your own workplace - whether you want to test your own equipment and save money, or carry out testing for other people and earn from your skill.

Practical, Hands-on training!

Our PAT Testing training course is a mix of practical and theory, with plenty of hands-on experience, and we provide all of the materials and equipment for the course. If you already have a PAT testing machine you are welcome to bring it with you, or we can give you information on the best machines to buy.

We will provide you with all of the information you need to get started, including information on the best equipment to use and loads of valuable hints and tips to save you time. When we say there's a lot of practical, we mean it! You'll test 35 - 40 different items during the day, using a variety of different PAT Testing machines, ensuring that you gain that crucial knowledge and understanding that you need.

Learn From the Expert!

PAT Testing is mainly about common sense, and you do not need loads of prior knowledge to get started you certainly DON'T need to be a qualified electrician to carry out PAT Testing. In fact, all you need is a willingness to learn, and some common sense. Our trainer, Tim James, has been involved in the field of PAT testing for more than 30 years - you will be learning from a seasoned pro and an expert. If you're looking around for a PAT Testing training course - think carefully - all courses are NOT the same! Tim's experience goes back many many years, as well as teaching people to carry out PAT Testing since the 1990's, he's also on the IET committee which has recently updated the IET Code of Practice. Some people teach from the text book - Tim James helped to write it!

This is a certificated training course - you'll be able to carry out PAT Testing on your own equipment, or offer a PAT Testing service to your customers after you complete the course. No prior knowledge is required - the course starts right at the beginning. You don't need to be a qualified electrician to carry out PAT Testing.

PAT Testing Expert are the only training company to use high quality venues for our courses - we don't use poky training rooms on industrial estates, and we don't hold our courses in Travelodges either! Our events are all held in high quality hotels, with excellent facilities. All of our training rooms are large enough for the practical work, air conditioned and comfortable. The Leicester Marriott is a great venue, not too far to the city centre, just off Junction 21A of the M1 (at the junction of the M69) and easily accessible by car and public transport. Car parking is available on site and we'll even take care of the cost! Please also remember that our course fees INCLUDE all the tuition, handbooks and reference material (you'll take away a package of useful information) and we also include lunch and refreshments during the day.

You won't need to buy any additional books or guides, everything you need is included in the fee.

You are welcome to bring your own PAT Tester with you on the day, or you can use ours! We always have a selection of industry standard PAT Testers for you to use on the day, and we can give you unbiased advice on which are the best machines to purchase.
